In
this review I will feature some of the buckskin stallions that I
have knowledge of and feel are great representatives of the
Tennessee Walking Horse Breed.
The picture does not do justice to this
beautiful 3-year-old buckskin stallion. He had a golden gleam to him and
had a great natural gait and a good personality.
I saw a picture of Gambler as a
yearling and was impressed with his conformation then and his stunning
color. His neck is long and comes from the withers right and out of his
chest right. He has a good sloping shoulder. He has a good head with his
pretty big eyes set wide apart. His dam is like my bay mare. Neither of
them has ever produced a bad foal. I think he should do well as a
stallion. I
truly think he is an eye catching stallion with that deep gold dapple.
*Note: Homozygous for the agouti
(i.e. will never produce black or smoky black foals).
This fine stallion is out of my
top broodmare, Fireball's
Mountain Maid. He is truly a gentle giant. He is a show horse, trail horse and
cow horse as well as a beloved pet. He was sold as a weanling
and has proven to be a true ambassador of the TWH breed. His
sires beautiful foals that have that wonderful natural head nodding
running walk.
